Childhood trauma and young people in the criminal justice system

Beyond Youth Custody’s free national conference will focus on exploring emerging knowledge about childhood trauma, its prevalence in young people who have offended and the significance for those working in the criminal justice field.

The event will explore promising practice for organisations and individuals working with young offenders in the community and custody who have experienced childhood trauma. The afternoon will provide an opportunity to start developing some resettlement policy and practice recommendations.
