New literature review emphasises importance of properly co-ordinated resettlement

15 April 2013

A new literature review released today by Beyond Youth Custody highlights that properly co-ordinated resettlement can significantly reduce reoffending and reduce costs if resettlement services are sufficiently resourced and work together with the secure estate to address the needs of young people. The review also highlights some emerging principles of effective practice and sets out a number of key under-researched issues and unanswered questions that require exploration in order to strengthen the evidence base for resettlement policy and practice.
